What are IPTV reseller credits, how do they convert into customer accounts, and what should one credit cost? Pricing math, package comparison and red flags for Canadian resellers.
Last updated November 2026. Prices in USD. General business information, not legal or financial advice.
If you are researching IPTV credits or IPTV reseller credits, you are probably close to a buying decision. Credits are the currency of almost every reseller program: you buy them in bulk, then spend them to activate customer accounts. Understanding exactly how they work is the difference between a healthy margin and a bad surprise.
This guide explains what a credit is, how credits convert into accounts, how to compare prices across packages, and the warning signs that a credit offer is not worth your money.
A credit is a prepaid unit you spend in your reseller panel to create or renew a customer account. Instead of paying the provider each time you sign a customer, you buy a stock of credits up front at a wholesale price and use them as you sell.
On our private server the conversion is simple:
Some providers use other conversions (for example 1 credit per month), so always ask what one credit buys before you compare prices. A "cheap" credit that only covers one month is far more expensive than a credit that covers a full year.
Credits are sold in packages. The more credits you buy at once, the lower the price per credit. Here are our current reseller packages:
Distributors and operators get a private quote, volume pricing and a dedicated contact.

The key figure is the price per credit:
| Package | Total price | Price per credit | Cost per 1-year account | Cost per 2-year account |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 credits | $160 | $16 | $16 | $32 |
| 50 credits | $700 | $14 | $14 | $28 |
| 100 credits | $1,300 | $13 | $13 | $26 |
| 1,000+ connections | Custom | Custom | Custom | Custom |
Moving from the 10-credit package to the 100-credit package lowers your cost per account by about 19%. That saving goes straight to your margin, but only if you can actually sell the accounts. Buying more than you need ties up cash.
The math is simple:
Gross margin per account = your resale price − your cost per account
Example with the 50-credit package ($14 per credit):
For a 2-year account, you spend 2 credits ($28) and set a 2-year price. Many resellers price the 2-year option slightly below two times the 1-year price to reward commitment.
Remember to subtract your real costs: payment processing, advertising, your time on support, and taxes. To model your own numbers for each package, use the margin calculator on our homepage. It is an illustration, not a promise: your results depend on your market and your prices.
A practical rule of thumb:
Many resellers start with 10 credits, sell through them, then move to 50 or 100. Our packages are pay as you go, so you can top up whenever you need.

The credit market has a lot of noise. Watch for these warning signs:
No real provider gives unlimited credits. Extremely low prices usually mean unlicensed content or an unstable reseller of a reseller, several layers away from the actual infrastructure.
If a seller avoids questions about who holds the content rights, walk away. As our guide on legal IPTV in Canada explains, the content's licensing status is what determines whether a service is lawful.
A confident provider lets you test before you buy. We offer a free reseller test on request via WhatsApp.
If you cannot get a clear answer to "what does one credit buy?", you cannot compare prices, and you may pay far more than you think.
You need a real person to call when something goes wrong. Anonymous Telegram handles and ticket systems with no names are a risk to your business.
A good partner wants you to succeed and will advise you to start with a size that fits your market.
Some platforms charge resellers a monthly subscription on top of credits. With credits only, you pay for what you use and nothing else. That keeps your fixed costs at zero, which matters when you are building a customer base. We do not charge a monthly fee.
A good reseller panel shows:
Use those logs to reconcile your spending each month and to contact customers before their accounts expire. Renewals are where the long-term value of a reseller business comes from.

Suppose you have a community network and expect around 30 customers in your first months. Here is how a careful reseller might plan the 50-credit package ($700, $14 per credit):
Total: 50 credits. Your cost per 1-year account is $14 and per 2-year account $28. If you charge, say, $40 for a year and $70 for two years, your gross revenue on those 30 customers would be $800 + $700 = $1,500 against $560 of credits used, with 10 credits still in stock. These numbers are only an illustration of the arithmetic; your real prices and sales will differ, and you still need to subtract your own costs.
The point of planning like this is cash discipline: you know how many credits each type of customer consumes, and you top up before you run out instead of buying blindly.
A 2-year account uses 2 credits, so your cost doubles, but it brings advantages:
The trade-off is that you commit to supporting that customer for longer. Offer 2-year accounts to customers you already know and trust, and be clear in your terms about what happens if they move or stop using the service.
Every credit purchase is a business expense, and every account you sell is revenue. Keep invoices for credit packages, export your panel's transaction log monthly, and match it with your sales. In Canada, once you pass the small-supplier threshold you will need to charge GST/HST (and QST in Quebec). An accountant can set this up in an hour, and it protects you if you ever need to show where your revenue came from.
On our private server, 1 credit creates one 1-year customer account and 2 credits create one 2-year account. Always check the conversion when comparing providers.
Our prices range from $16 per credit (10-credit package) to $13 per credit (100-credit package). Distributors needing 1,000+ connections can request a custom price.
